THE HISTORY OF THE 8 BLOOD MOON TETRADS SINCE CHRIST...

http://ipost.christianpost.com/news/the-four-blood-moons-in-history-and-next-12921/
http://2fletchdr222.blogspot.sg/2014/04/the-history-of-8-blood-moon-tetrads.html

162 - 163 Persecution of Jews and Christians... by Rome

795 - 796 Rome and Islam battle for dominance

842 - 843 Vatican attacked by African Islamic invasion

860 - 861 Islam invasion into Europe stop

1493 - 1494 Jews expelled from Spain, Birth of the New (Western) World

1949 - 1950 Rebirth of Israel, freedom from the Arabs

1967 - 1968 6 day war, victory over their Arab enemies

1. The first of the seven tetrads occurred on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles in 162 and 163 A.D., which happened during one of the worst persecutions of Jews and Christians that began in 161 by Marcus Aurelius, emperor of Rome. Also in 161 the Parthians invaded Armenia, a Roman province. About three years later a great plague killed about 10% of the pagan Roman population.

2. The second occurred on Passover and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) in 795 and 796. Pope Leo III was crowned Pope on Christmas day, 795. He was attacked and injured by his enemies in 799, then he fled to Charlemagne for protection. In 800 he and Charlemagne returned to Rome where the Pope was put on trial, but Charlemagne was able to get him acquitted of charges. The Pope then crowned Charlemagne the first Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, which lasted over 1,000 years. Thus, the Church gave the emperors authority to rule, and the emperors gave the Church protection.
(Prior to this, the only official Christian kingdom had been centered in Constantinople, the Christian Eastern Roman Empire, which historians call the Byzantine Empire, but it was actually a continuation of the Roman Empire, which was divided into east and west before the western half fell.)

3. Third  tetrad occurred on Passover and Day of Atonement in 842 and 843 A.D. A lot happened in those years that affected both Christians and Jews. In 842 a synod in the eastern Church reaffirmed the use of icons, which had been banned for the second time in 814. In Europe, Muslims had been attacking Sicily for several years as they attempted to conquer Italy and Europe, and this continued as they attacked and captured Messina in Sicily in 842. In 843 the Treaty of Verdun divided the Holy Roman Empire into three parts. This affected Jews adversely because the French were tolerant of Jews, but when the French no longer had power over most of Europe, then anti-Jewish feelings were allowed to manifest, leading to persecution of the Jews.

4. A forth tetrad of eclipses occurred on Passover and the Day of Atonement in 860 and 861 A.D. Important things happened in these years as well. In 861 the first Russians, sailing in 200 ships, attacked Constantinople but withdrew after the Virgin Mary’s robe was carried in procession around the walls of the city. A few years later Russia’s first ambassador to Constantinople accepted Christianity, which laid the groundwork for the conversion of Russia. In 863 Saint Cyril and Saint Methodius began translating part of the Bible into the Old Slavonic language, which also helped in the conversion of the Slavs (Russians). This later led to a great persecution of the Jews by the Russian Christians, who were themselves later severely persecuted by the Communists.
Also in 861 Muhammed al-Mudabbir arrived in Egypt and tripled the jizya (tax) on Christians and Jews. Because so many could not pay the tax, they filled the prisons. The churches were looted and confiscated, and the Coptic patriarch, “unable to pay the taxes demanded from the Coptic episcopate, fled from place to place and went into hiding” (The Decline of Eastern Christianity Under Islam, by Bat Ye’or, page 84).

5. A fifth tetrad occurred on Passover and the Feast of Trumpets in 1493 and 1494. In 1492 King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain ordered the expulsion of all Jews from Spain, about 200,000. Many fled to Morocco where they were later persecuted. It was also in 1492 that Columbus discovered America; the U.S.A. was to become the home of many Jews and a friend to Israel.

6. The sixth tetrad occurred on Passover and Tabernacles in 1949 and 1950, just after the creation of the Jewish state of Israel in 1948 and the 1st Arab - Israeli War for Independence (May 15, 1948 – March 10, 1949).

7. The seventh tetrad since the time of Christ occurred on Passover and Tabernacles in 1967 and 1968, with the 6-Day War taking place in June of 1967 when Israel captured all of Jerusalem and additional land.

8. The next tetrad will occur on Passover and Tabernacles (Sukkot) in 2014 and 2015. Therefore, we can expect the eighth tetrad to be associated with something important that will affect Christians and Jews; perhaps the start of the GT and World War 3.

These eclipses of the moon are all in a row, with no partial eclipse in between. Since we know that God expects us to watch the signs in the heavens, these eclipses should clearly not be ignored. They mean that something important is about to happen.
In addition to the four blood moons, there is a total eclipse of the sun on March 20, 2015, which is Adar 29/Nisan 1 of the Jewish calendar, which is the start of the Jewish religious new year. Then there is a partial eclipse of the sun on Sept. 13, 2015, which is the Feast of Trumpets. Mark Biltz said in a recent article in WND:

Not only that, according to NASA, this total blood moon on 9/28/15 will be at perigee meaning it will be a super moon and seen in Jerusalem during the feast of sukkot while the Jewish people will be dwelling outside in their sukkahs looking up toward the heavens.

The history of abortion in the United States is far more complicated than most people imagine. It has been an issue of varying contention for more than 200 years. Nevertheless, abortion has never enjoyed such universal protection under the law as it has since 1973. As it stands today, American women have the legal right to obtain an abortion in all 50 states, through all nine months of pregnancy,

Natural Cures For Skin Tags, Moles, Warts, Blackheads & Age Spots

Is your skin a problem? Moles, warts, skin tags, and dark spots are
just a few of the more than 3,000 skin disorders that affect people
every day. Changes in color or texture can result from inflammation,
infection, or allergic reactions anywhere on the body. Some skin
conditions can be minor, temporary, and easily treated, so read on to
see the most common skin disorders and how to cure them.

Natural Remedies For Warts

Warts are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), which has over
100 types, and these different types affect people in different ways,
but usually depending on the strength of their immune system. Some
strains, like the one that causes common warts, are relatively harmless,
while others can pose much more serious problems. Because warts are
caused by a virus, they can be spread to other parts of your body and to
other people as well. If mainstream methods or treatments involving
strange chemicals have not worked for you, try some of these easy and
effective home remedies instead.

These natural remedies have a proven track record, however, none of
them are overnight cures. They work far faster than the months or years
it takes a wart to disappear on its own, if it ever disappears. Nearly a
quarter of warts go away on their own within six months, but about a
third still linger around two years after they first appear. Warts can
be especially stubborn in children, whose immune systems are still
developing.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar
is one of the most effective home remedies for wart removal.
It contains strong anti inflammatory properties which are very effective
to get rid of bacteria and virus that mainly causes warts. Wash your
affected area before and after use.  First dip a cotton ball with ACV
and put it on the wart. Then cover it with a band-aid or duct tape for minimum one day. Use it before going bed and remove morning. By using this remedy your ward will begone in a few weeks.

Garlic

Garlic is a great herb in your kitchen that can take help to remove
warts. Mash some garlic juice and then apply on wart and cover with a
band-aid. Do this twice a day, until wart disappears.

Duct Tape

Believe it or not, this treatment is actually backed by science. In
one study, 61 patients with common warts received either cryotherapy or
duct tape treatment. After two months, 85% of those using duct tape were
rid of their warts, while only 60% who received cryotherapy were
wart-free.

Place a small piece of duct tape completely over the wart continually
for 6 days, replacing the tape as needed. After 6 days, soak the wart
in water and then rub it with an emery board or pumice stone. The next
morning, apply fresh duct tape for another 6 days, and continue for two
months or until the wart disappears.

Bananas

Another tried-and-true method that has also been published in medical
journals is applying the inside of a banana peel to the wart. Many have
had success with simply rubbing the inner surface of the banana peel
over the wart a few times a day. An even more effective technique is
to press the inside of the peel over the wart and tape it in place at
night before bed. Remove it in the morning, and wash the area. Repeat
this procedure nightly until the wart begins to soften, about a week,
but the wart should be gone within a few weeks to a month.

Pure Raw Honey

Organic Manuka honey, harvested in New Zealand, is perhaps the best
to use, but finding pure raw honey should do the trick as well. Manuka
Honey is one of the most potent types of honey in terms of the
concentration of its antibacterial/antiviral properties. It is also
quite stable, unlike some other kinds of honey, so it can withstand
temperature fluctuation without losing its benefits. In addition to
this, it creates a sort of “occlusion therapy” which is essentially
depriving the wart of oxygen and killing it (the theory behind duct
tape, but honey is much better than adhesive.)

Items:

  • A teaspoon of raw honey
  • A bandage
Directions:

File away the wart if you can, and then cover it thoroughly in a
thick layer of honey and wrap a piece of cloth around it. Leave it like
this for 24 hours, changing the bandage and reapplying the honey daily.

breakFAST

5 Minutes: Spinach and Mushroom Egg Scramble
If you’re pushed for time, you can’t go wrong with scrambled eggs. Take two eggs (or if you want to make them super-skinny, 3 egg whites and one yolk) and combine with 4 tbsp. of skimmed milk / a touch of salt and pepper. Add a little olive oil to your pan, on a medium to high heat, followed by your egg mixture, and stir. Once your eggs start to form, add your toppings.
Spinach and mushrooms taste great with scrambled eggs, whilst also providing an excellent source of iron and essential vitamins K, A and C. Just half a cup of each is enough. Finish with a sprinkle of low fat cheese.

5 Minutes: Avocado and Strawberry Smoothie
For early birds with a sweet tooth, rustle up a heart-helping avocado and strawberry smoothie. Let’s face it; 8am commutes aren’t full-English friendly, whereas these treats can be devoured wherever the morning takes you.
Before rushing to work, load your blender with ½ an avocado (stone and peel removed) with 1 cup of fresh or frozen strawberries, 1 cup of skimmed / almond milk and ¼ cup of vanilla yoghurt. Chuck in one chopped banana and blend. For extra flavour, add honey or lemon – these secret ingredients help promote a healthy immune system, keeping you in tiptop shape in time for summer.
We love this fruit-to-yog combination first thing. Avocados are packed with the mono-saturated fats needed for a healthy ticker, and lots of tummy-filling fibre that leaves you feeling full. To mix it up, try replacing your strawberries / avocado for 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. This smoothie is perfect pre-gym!
6 minutes: Cinnamon Porridge
It may not look particularly appetising, but porridge is a staple breakfast meal that’s long been recognised for its health benefits. Its slow releasing energy leaves you full up till lunchtime, with a handful of nutrients to boot: B vitamins, vitamin E, calcium, folic acid and potassium.
Just recently Harvard University released a study claiming, “consumption of whole grains and cereal fiber was inversely associated with reduced total and cause-specific mortality,” or in other words porridge is the key to a long and healthy life.
To make your oat dish more interesting, try adding ½ tsp. of cinnamon, a sliced banana, strawberries and blueberries. Mix half a cup of oats with 100ml of skimmed milk on the hob and bring to the boil. Then add the sliced bananas and cinnamon to the pan and stir for 4-5 mins till cooked. Alternatively, pop in the microwave for 3-4 mins and stir occasionally. Top with berries and a dash of cinnamon.

8 Minutes: Strawberry and Yoghurt Parfait
For a refreshing spring / summer breakfast, tuck into a delicious strawberry and yoghurt parfait. Combining a cup of fresh strawberries, 1 tsp. of sugar, ½ a cup of Greek yoghurt and a handful of granola: this crunchy but sweet combo goes nicely with a morning brew.
Simply combine the sugar and strawberries in a bowl and leave to one side (if you’re being super healthy, you can always ditch the sugar). Then layer your parfait, starting with the yoghurt then the strawberries, followed by granola on top. The protein content of Greek yoghurt makes parfait a great post-workout treat too!

10 Minutes: Baked Eggs In Tomato
For a quick and satisfying breakfast, you can always rely on eggs. And one morning meal we can’t get enough of is baked egg in tomato. Ditch your conventional eggcups and instead, slice the top third from your tomatoes, dig out the seeds and break an egg into each tomato. Then bake the eggs for 10 minutes at 220°C in an ovenproof dish (remember to preheat beforehand). Feel free to season with a touch of salt and pepper before placing it in the oven.
Once ready, you could top with cheese or dunk a couple of toasty soldiers into your eggs’ runny middle. This dish not only looks great; its nutrition content is through the roof. Tomatoes are rich in antioxidants, and vitamins A, C and folic acid, making it a superfood we definitely need to be eating more of. Or if tomatoes aren’t your thing, switch to avocados – avocado eggcups are just as tasty.

10 Minutes: Veggie Breakfast Burrito
Liven your morning, Mexican style, with breakfast burritos. The beauty of these is, you can prepare them Sunday night and freeze for any morning of the week. None veggie varieties can take a little while to prepare; say if you fancied including a little chorizo or bacon for instance. But vegetable based burritos only take 10 mins to whip up.
First take one cup of cooked black beans and flavour with lime or lemon juice. Next, prepare your scrambled eggs, whilst heating your tortilla wraps in the toaster or microwave. Once everything’s cooked, stick the beans in the microwave for 30 seconds, then bring everything together. Layer your burrito mix with avocado, salsa and low fat cheese for the perfect finishing touches. And voila, your breakfast burritos are all ready for your morning commute.
15 Minutes: Quinoa Fruit Salad
Fruit salads seem like the obvious choice for a quick and healthy brekkie, but sometimes they don’t feel too filling. To bulk it up a bit, try adding half a cup of cooked quinoa. Hearty, high in protein and packed with flavour, it’s the ideal substitute for porridge. Combine with blueberries, mango and strawberries for a delightfully summer dish.

How To Heal Cavities Naturally

Image result for toothacheBased on the new study result, you should use Coconut oil, not fluoride chemicals in order to get the results you want, even though some health authorities insist on using chemicals and water to stop tooth decay.
If this is hard to believe we will support it with the fact that in Ireland, a group of researches at the Institute of Technology Athlone (AIT) discovered that Coconut oil destroys the bacteria that causes infections and cavities in our mouth without any side effects.
For their research, they added several other coconut oils and enzymes and tracked how these oils are processed during the digestion process. When the oils were digested the team added them separately on several bacterial strains to see how they will act. Among all the different types of bacteria they added coconut oil to the main and acid bacteria that occurs in our mouth and causes different types of infections, the Steptococcus Mutans.

Here is how to oil pull using coconut oil:
Open your mouth and put 2 teaspoons of coconut oil in, and chew it or just hold the coconut oil in your mouth until it melts down and becomes liquid. This process should take about half a minute.
Once the oil melts, start swishing it by pulling the oil sideways as well as forth and back and make sure you cover all of your teeth. Do this for about 20 minutes and spit the oil.
By now you must be interested in this cure and how would that look like. Well don’t wait for another moment, take coconut oil and destroy the cavities. In less than a month the cavities will be just an old ugly story. Share this valuable information and help those struggling with cavities.

http://www.naturallivingideas.com/21-foods-that-naturally-unclog-arteries/

1. Asparagus
One of the best vegetables for clearing arteries, asparagus is full of fiber and minerals, as well as a long list of vitamins including K, B1, B2, C, and E.  Asparagus can help to lower blood pressure and prevent blood clots that can cause serious cardiovascular illness.  Try steaming raw asparagus for maximum vitamin potential!

2. Avocado
The next time you make a sandwich or salad, consider adding a few slices of avocado in lieu of mayonnaise or heavy salad dressing.  Studies have shown that the daily consumption of avocado result in improved blood cholesterol with a decrease in triglycerides and LDL of around 22% and an 11% increase in HDL – the “good” cholesterol that helps to keep arteries clear of obstructions.  Not only can this delicious fruit help to keep your blood flowing smoothly, the average avocado also contains around 4 grams protein and 11 grams of fiber, not to mention an impressive list of vitamins and antioxidants.

3. Broccoli
Broccoli is another vegetable that is loaded with vitamin K which helps to prevent calcification or hardening of arteries.  Eating vitamin- and antioxidant-packed broccoli can also help to prevent oxidation of LDL cholesterol which can lead to serious heart conditions.  This super healthy veggie also offers a heart-healthy dose of fiber which helps to normalize blood-pressure and reduce stress that may cause tears (and eventually plaque build-up) in arterial walls.

4. Chia Seeds
When included daily as part of a heart-healthy diet, the fiber and alpha-linolenic acid contained in just two ounces of Chia seeds can help to keep arteries clear by regulating blood pressure, reducing LDL cholesterol, lowering triglycerides, and increasing HDL cholesterol.  Also, because daily cardiovascular exercise is another excellent way to improve heart health and keep arteries clear, Chia seeds are doubly effective.  The boost of protein and nutrients offered by this tiny superfood can help to make any workout feel just a little bit easier.

5. Cinnamon
You’ve probably heard that a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.  But did you know that a spoonful of cinnamon makes your risk of heart disease go down?  Just one tablespoon of ground cinnamon per day can work to reduce cholesterol levels while at the same time clearing and preventing plaque build-up.  Cinnamon is also full of antioxidants which further improve cardiovascular health by protecting blood from damaging oxidation.  So put down the sugar and start enjoying cinnamon.  Try this fragrant spice in a cup of tea or sprinkled on top of coffee.  Or check out these recipes on EatingWell with cinnamon.

6. Coconut Oil
Disregard the old myth that all saturated fats are bad and the leading cause of cardiovascular diseases like atherosclerosis.  Regular consumption of coconut oil – about 2 or 3 tablespoons per day – can help to reduce plaque build-up in the arteries by aiding the conversion of cholesterol in the blood stream into a form that our bodies can use.  The high concentration of medium-chain triglyceride, lauric acid present in coconut oil is also thought to improve blood coagulation as well as to perform antioxidant functions in the blood stream, further diminishing the risk of heart disease.

7. Coffee
Also contrary to popular belief, coffee is not bad for your health.  Studies have found that drinking between 8 and 16 oz of coffee per day can reduce your risk of heart disease by around 20%.  Just remember to take all things in moderation, including caffeine.  Over-consumption of any stimulant has the potential to increase your blood pressure and heart rate, which can lead to some serious health problems.

8. Cranberries
Cranberries are another antioxidant-rich food which can help to improve cardiovascular health by reducing LDL and raising HDL cholesterol levels. In fact, cranberry juice has more antioxidant power than all but one other fruit juice (100% red or black grape being the exception.)  Enjoy two servings of 100% pure organic cranberry juice daily to protect your heart and improve your health.

9. Cold-water “Fatty” Fish
Also rich in healthy fats, cold-water fish like salmon, mackerel, sardines, and tuna can help to clear arteries.  Try to eat fish twice per week to reduce plaque build-up and inflammation that can lead to heart disease.  Also, eating cold-water fish can help to improve your overall cholesterol – lowering triglyceride levels and increasing HDL cholesterol in the blood-stream.

10. Flaxseeds
One of the best sources of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), flaxseeds are known for their ability to reduce blood-pressure and inflammation, helping to keep arteries clear of obstructions and improve overall heart health.

11. Green Tea
Green tea – especially nutrient-rich Matcha green tea – contains high levels of catechins, antioxidant plant phenols which hinder the absorption of cholesterol during digestion.  Enjoy a cup or two of green tea every day to improve your blood-lipid levels and help reduce arterial blockage.  Green tea also provides a natural boost to the metabolism which can help you to lose weight, further bolstering your cardiovascular health.

12. Nuts
A heart healthy snack alternative to prepackaged and processed foods, raw nuts are a delicious way to clear arteries with many auxiliary benefits, to boot!  Almonds are by far the best option, being very high in monounsaturated fats, vitamin E, fiber, and protein.  Walnuts are another great choice.  As an excellent source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) – the same EFA that gives flaxseeds their favorable reputation – eating a serving of walnuts every day can help to improve blood-pressure, reduce inflammation, and keep arteries clear of obstructions.

13. Olive Oil
Rich in monounsaturated oleic acid – an essential fatty acid (EFA) known for its positive effects on cholesterol levels and oxidative stress in the blood stream – olive oil is widely considered to be one of the healthiest oils for cooking and dressing food.  According to a recent study, use of olive oil for these purposes can actually reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular illnesses by up to 41%.
A word of caution: When shopping for olive oil, avoid buying the lowest-priced option on the shelf.  These products are inexpensive for a good reason.  Low-cost olive oils are often cut with cheaper, less-healthy oils or have been damaged by heat during the extraction process.  Instead, go with a certified 100% organic virgin olive oil.

14. Orange Juice
Drinking just two cups of 100% orange juice (no sugar added) every day can help to improve blood pressure and reduce inflammation of arteries.  Also, orange juice is full of antioxidant vitamin C which helps to keep arteries clear by preventing oxidative damage in the blood stream.  For more information about how orange juice improves circulatory function, read this article by the Bastyr Center for Natural Health.

15. Persimmon
Persimmons are loaded with antioxidants and polyphenols, both of which work to decrease LDL and triglycerides in the blood-stream.  Persimmons are also a great source of fiber which helps to regulate blood pressure, keep your heart healthy, and your arteries clear.

16. Pomegranate
Antioxidant phytochemicals naturally present in pomegranates do an excellent job of protecting the circulatory system from damaging oxidation which can cause plaque build-up and dangerous blood clots.  Pomegranate also naturally stimulates production of nitric oxide in the blood which helps to open arteries and regulate blood pressure.  Try eating fresh pomegranate or enjoy some organic pomegranate juice!

17. Spinach
One of the famed dark leafy greens, spinach is loaded with fiber, potassium, and folate – all of which help to lower blood pressure and keep arteries clear.  According to recent studies, just one serving per day of folate-rich greens like spinach can lower homocysteine levels – a known risk factor for cardiovascular diseases like atherosclerosis.  Why not mix it up a little?  Enjoy your spinach sautéed, in a salad, or as part of a heart-smart smoothie!

18. Spirulina
Spirulina is a cytobacteria (or blue-green algae as they are often called) which not only helps to regulate lipid levels in the blood, it is also a complete protein.  Unlike other plant sources of protein, Spirulina contains all of the essential amino acids needed by the human body to maintain optimum health.  Spirulina is also packed with EFAs, including alpha-linolenic acid – the essential omega-3 fatty acid found in chia and flaxseeds that has been researched extensively for its ability to reduce arterial inflammation and improve cardiovascular health.  Take Spirulina daily as a supplement or try it in powder form in some of these delicious recipes.

19. Turmeric
Curcumin, the main component of Turmeric, is a powerful anti-inflammatory.  Adding turmeric to your diet can seriously reduce inflammation and damage to arterial walls which are leading causes of plaque build-up and blood clots.  Furthermore, studies have shown us that the high levels of curcumin in Turmeric can aid in the reduction of fatty deposits in the arteries by up to 26%.  Try some of these excellent recipes using all-natural organic turmeric.

20. Watermelon
Not only is it delicious, watermelon is another fruit that is great for your heart.  As an excellent natural source of the amino acid L-citrulline, watermelon can help to keep arteries clear by lowering blood pressure and decreasing inflammation.  In much the same way as pomegranate, watermelon naturally stimulates production of nitric oxide, which further improves artery health and blood pressure.  Try some of these Best Watermelon Recipes by Southern Living!

21. Whole Grains
Trade out your bleached carbohydrates for their whole grain alternatives to give your heart health a boost.  Foods like whole grain breads, whole wheat pastas, brown rice, quinoa, barley, and oatmeal have long been celebrated for their role in improving blood-cholesterol levels, keeping arteries clear, and reducing the risk of serious heart disease.

Young Wooly Lamb's Ear settling down for the winter.
A Natural Antibacterial Bandage
Wooly Lamb’s Ear, botanical name Stachys byzantina, has been used for centuries as a wound dressing on battlefields. Not only do the soft, fuzzy leaves absorb blood and help it to clot more quickly, they also contain antibacterial, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties. All of these factors make this plant a really great alternative to store-bought bandages

Wooly Lamb’s Ear actually has many medicinal uses. You can heat a few bruised leaves in a pot of simmering water, and use the cooled infusion as an eyewash to treat pinkeye and sties.
Drink a tea made from young, dried Wooly Lamb’s Ear leaves to help with fevers, diarrhea, sore mouth and throat, internal bleeding, and weaknesses of the liver and heart. (~Wikipedia)
You can bruise the leaves so that the juices are released, and put them on bee stings or other insect bites to help reduce the swelling. The same effect can be seen when used for treating hemorrhoids, or for postpartum recovery.

How To Grow Your Own Antibacterial Bandages (Wooly Lamb’s Ear) From Seed
Starting your own plants from seed really is easy. Here’s how…
1. Fill a well-draining container with Seed Starting Mix.  A yogurt cup with holes poked in the bottom works nicely.
2. Wet the soil thoroughly. If you’re on city water, use filtered water for your plants. The chemicals in treated water can inhibit plant growth.
3. Plant 1-2 seeds per small container (thinning out the weakest seedling), or plant seeds about 6″ apart in a larger pot, burying them 1/4″ deep.
4. Keep the soil moist and the containers out of direct light until the seedlings germinate. As soon as you see the tops of the plants emerging, put them somewhere where they can get at least 6 hours of sunlight daily, or under a grow light. It helps to set the cups/pots in a shallow tray of water to keep the soil from drying out.
5. When the plants have at least three sets of leaves, they’re ready to be transplanted to a semi-shady place in your yard. Space them 12″ apart. They will multiply readily in good soil.
If you haven’t started thinking about growing some medicinal herbs, Wooly Lamb’s Ear is a perfect one to begin with. And in my opinion, you can never have enough!
Once you have it, don’t stop there! There are so many medicinal herbs you can be growing no matter where you live. Check out Grow Your Own Antibiotics for more great suggestions.
